I was thinking today about how I believe that God loves us right where we are at. Sometimes people think that the better they pray, the more they tithe, The nicer they sing etc., that they will be closer to God or that God will love them more. Some people also believe that they have to make their life right before they can come to God. They might think that they have to go to church regularly before God will love them and accept them.
I believe that God loves us right where we are at. Even if we are struggling with some great challenge in our lives, God still loves us right where we are at. He doesn't ask us to make ourselves right before coming to him in prayer. He doesn't require us to do anything. He will meet us right where we are at in life.
If we are struggling, he is there. If we are feeling overwhelmed, he is there. I believe that he wants to love us right where we are at. He is the only one that can bring about the changes in us. The Bible says that God even helps us to believe in Christ so we can come to him.
God loves us right where we are, no matter what.

So true!
Amen. I do believe, though, that it doesn't hurt to try to please God, to talk to Him once in awhile, to let Him guide us a little and to say thank you for what we do have. But, as we are all told from the time we are small, God loves all His creatures, big and small. We're told over and over that God loves sinners, He watches over all of us. All He asks is that we try to avoid sin, love one another as we would love ourselves, love and accept Him in our lives, and to try to repent for our sins...but no where does it say He will hate us or turn His back on us if we do less or different than others do.
God does indeed love us right where we are. At the same time, he hopes we will move forward and grow in our love for Him.
Took me a long time to figure that one out myself. Mahalo for the great post.
